To practice "The Belt and Road", Chinese enterprises continue to invest in Indonesia. On the 5th day of this month, under the impetus of Guangdong Trade Promotion Committee, Guangdong General Chamber of Commerce in Indonesia was inaugurated. With the joint force of the Cantonese merchants and overseas Chinese in Guangdong and Indonesia, the chamber has helped the local enterprises in Guangdong and Chinese enterprises to invest in Indonesia, provided them with accurate services as well as opened a window for the Indonesian political and business circles to understand Guangdong and China.

In order to further advance the economic and trade cooperation between Indonesia and Guangdong, China, to promote Chinese enterprises to integrate into the Indonesia 2015 - 2019 medium-term reform agenda and economic development planning and participate in the construction of Indonesia, since Oct. 9, Gu Shaoming, the chairman of Guangdong General Chamber of Commerce in Indonesia, together with Chinese enterprises---China Aerospace Science & Industry Corp., Guangdong Wu Ye Shen Group, and Shenzhen Bauing Group has gone to Djakarta and Bandung to hold business negotiations with Indonesia Public Construction and Housing Department, Indonesia Investment Coordination Department, Indonesia Economic Industrial Committee, Indonesia Department of State Owned Enterprises, Indonesia Economic Coordination Department, Department of Fisheries and Maritime in Indonesia, Department of Forestry in Indonesia, Indonesian National Police Department and Indonesian Ministry of Tourism in quest of cooperation in aerospace science and technology, cross-border e-commerce, infrastructure construction, smart city, intelligent security protection and other fields.

China Aerospace Science & Industry Corp. directly subordinates to the military high-tech enterprises of the central government, ranked 381 among the world top 500 enterprises, mainly engaging in aerospace defense, information technology, equipment manufacturing, security engineering and business related to smart city. Its main purpose for this visit to Indonesia is to introduce Beidou Application, commercial space (satellite launching), security technology and special equipment, as well as seek project cooperation and investment opportunities.

Guangdong Wu Ye Shen Group is a well-known enterprise in Guangdong Province, committed to brand investment and brand operation. So far, Wu Ye Shen, Hong Gong Fang and several other high-end brands are subordinated to the group. Its business includes tobacco, wine and tea as well as scores such an achievement in real estate and the field of investment. Its business markets cover Chinese mainland, Taiwan, Hong Kong, Macao, parts of the markets in  the United States, Singapore, South Korea, Malaysia and Middle East.

Gu Shaoming, chairman of Guangdong General Chamber of Commerce in Indonesia and the board chairman of Bauing Group, introduced the chamber and business events.

Shenzhen Bauing Group, a China's A-share listed company in the architectural ornament field, is a diversified conglomerate majored in architectural decoration design and construction, integrated with the production and sales of building and ornament materials as well as the high and new technology industry. Its business extends all over all provinces in China (including Hongkong, Macao and Taiwan), as well as nearly twenty countries and regions including Indonesia, Vietnam, Burma, Malaysia, Singapore, Australia, Russia, the United States and Canada, etc.. The group has a subsidiary in Indonesia, the Indonesia Bauing Construction Group, which is deeply involved in the construction of the infrastructure in Indonesia.

According to the introduction of Public Construction and Housing Department, in the next 5 years, Indonesia will build 2650 km of roads, 1000 km of highways, 3258 km of railways, 24 large ports,  60 ferry terminals, 15 modern airports, 14 industrial parks, 49 reservoirs, 33 hydropower stations as well as the irrigation systems for 1 million hectares of farmland, which is expected to amount to about $ 424.5 billion dollars. Based on the Indonesian government budget between 2015 and 2019, the expense budget in infrastructure is about $ 90.5 billion dollars, which means it is hard to complete all the infrastructure just with national budget, so it also needs the participation of Indonesia's state-owned enterprises and private enterprises home and abroad. What's more, public-private partnership (PPP) mode is also welcomed. Public Construction and Housing Department welcomed China Aerospace Science & Industry Corp. and Bauing Group to invest in Indonesia as well as and exchanged views on cooperation between the two sides. They planned to launch the next round of discussion on the construction of 1 million units of public housing.

When Thomas, Indonesia Investment Coordination Minister, met with the delegation of Guangdong General Chamber of Commerce in Indonesia, he expressed his great interest in China's achievements in science and technology. He has paid close attention to the development trend of  Chinese aerospace science and technology, and hopes to cooperate with Chinese enterprises in related fields. In the manufacturing and infrastructure construction, he encourages more Chinese enterprises to come to Indonesia to promote the transformation in Indonesia's industry and commerce from price competition to quality competition, and the establishment of a customer demand oriented industrial and commercial service system. Lan Binnan, the vice-general manager of China Aerospace Science & Industry Corp., introduced the Beidou navigation test system, satellite communication system, traffic control management system, population management system, security system, aerospace cloud network internet platform and other high-tech achievements. The two sides agreed to make a plan for the next step of cooperation.

Indonesian Industrial and Economic Commission is the new government agency set up by Indonesian President Djoko in January this year. Its chairman Soetrisno Bachir believes that the investment potential of Chinese enterprises in Indonesia is huge, covering science and technology, energy, defense science and technology. He hopes both sides can accelerate cooperation and the implementation of the project. Chairman Soetrisno Bachir also exchanged views with Gu Shaoming, the chairman of Guangdong General Chamber of Commerce in Indonesia, on the establishment of cooperation fund, and the promotion of cooperation progress. Gu Shaoming said that he would actively introduce more Chinese well-known enterprises to invest in Indonesia and advance their cooperation progress in science and technology, energy, water conservancy and hydropower, smart city, port construction and other infrastructure construction fields to promote bilateral economic and trade exchanges more closely.

Indonesia Department of State Owned Enterprises held a cooperation meeting for the Guangdong General Chamber of Commerce in Indonesia and the state-owned enterprises in Indonesia. Indonesia's largest telecoms group PT Telkom, Indonesia's aerospace company (PT Dirgantara), Indonesia's construction company (PT Waskita Karya) and other state-owned enterprises had discussion with China Aerospace Science & Industry Corp., Guangdong Wu Ye Shen Group, and Bauing Group on the cooperative purposes and cooperation models in their own fields respectively. Indonesia's aerospace company (PT Dirgantara) exchanged views with China Aerospace Science & Industry Corp. in the field of spaceflight, and Indonesia's construction company (PT Waskita Karya) has come to an agreement with Bauing Group on project cooperation.

When the representative of Department of Fisheries and Maritime in Indonesia met with the delegation of Guangdong General Chamber of Commerce in Indonesia, he expressed Indonesia is striving to develop marine economy. It is going to build 15 marine and fisheries development center in 2017. The department sincerely invited enterprises of Guangdong General Chamber of Commerce in Indonesia to join in the construction of Indonesia's marine economy. It looks forward to cooperating with Bauing Group, Guangdong Wu Ye Shen Group and China Aerospace Science & Industry Corp. on terminal building, marine resources development, navigation systems and so on for mutual development.  

At the cooperation meeting held by Indonesia Economic Coordination Department, the delegation of Guangdong General Chamber of Commerce in Indonesia has discussed with the department on the development scheme investment and cooperation mode of a certain dock on site.

Gu Shaoming, the chairman of Guangdong General Chamber of Commerce in Indonesia, said that the chamber had the responsibility to help enterprises to fully mobilize the power of all sectors of the community, and to provide all kinds of safeguards for Chinese enterprises to enter into Indonesia.

In an interview with reporters, Gu Shaoming, the chairman of Guangdong General Chamber of Commerce in Indonesia, said that in “The Belt and Road” strategy, the most difficult thing for Chinese enterprises is not how to go out, but how to fall to the ground after going out so as to avoid the crisis, particularly how to integrate into the local political circles, business circles and the public, as well as to obtain support from all walks of life. Guangdong General Chamber of Commerce in Indonesia has the responsibility to help enterprises to fully mobilize all sectors of the community to provide all kinds of protection for Chinese enterprises.In the future, the chamber will provide related investment information and services for more Guangdong enterprises and Chinese enterprises to serve China's "The Belt and Road" strategy and will build the chamber as a platform for economic and trade exchanges between China and Indonesia. In the future, Guangdong General Chamber of Commerce in Indonesia will organize Indonesian enterprises to look for investment opportunities in China to further expand the business cooperation fields between the two countries and to create more possibilities.
