Myint Swe, Vice President of Myanmar, cordially received Gu Shaoming, Chairman of the Board of Bauing Group.

Myanmar Investment Forum 2017 was held in Myanmar International Convention Centre from June 6 to 7, 2017, which is the achievements of the new government of National League for Democracy (NLD) in terms of improvement of international relationship and foreign investment laws, expressing the high expectation of the new government in promoting Myanmar’s economic development.

During the period of the forum, Myint Swe, Vice President of Myanmar, under the company of U Khin Maung Aye, Chairman of MIDA and KMA Group cordially received Gu Shaoming, Chairman of the Board of Bauing Group who was invited to attend the forum on behalf of Chinese enterprise representatives.

Myint Swe, Vice President of Myanmar welcomed Gu Shaoming, Chairman of the Board of Bauing Group and his delegation in the meeting, he asked in detail about the investment situation of Bauing Group in Myanmar, and expressed his great expectation for Bauing Group.

Myint Swe, Vice President of Myanmar said: “During my tenure in the new government, I visited China two times, namely the thirteenth China - ASEAN Expo and the Boao Forum for Asia (BFA). In the two meeting, Chinese Vice Premier Zhang Gaoli made friendly and in-depth exchanges with me. We reached consensus on many issues, and Vice Premier Zhang Gaoli expressed that China would encourage Chinese enterprises to invest in Myanmar.

Myint Swe, Vice President of Myanmar said he would welcome Chinese enterprises to make investment in Myanmar.

Myint Swe, Vice President of Myanmar said: “During the BFA, I also experienced the high-speed rail in China and the development of China. Myanmar has two neighboring countries with large population, and has huge market development potential. At present, Myanmar is in urgent need of infrastructure construction, and only with the help of China's large enterprises can Myanmar achieve rapid development. Therefore, Myanmar has introduced twelve preferential policies for investment, and foreign enterprises will be treated equally with Myanmar enterprises in terms of policy in the future. I am confident of the future of Myanmar and welcome Chinese enterprises, such as Bauing Group, to invest in Myanmar.”

Gu Shaoming, Chairman of the Board of Bauing Group expressed that he hopes that China and Myanmar will strengthen cooperation and achieve mutual development.

Gu Shaoming, Chairman of the Board of Bauing Group expressed his gratitude for Vice President Myint Swe’s reception. He spoke highly of the forum's important role in keeping close relationship between China and Myanmar and attracting international investment. Gu Shaoming, Chairman of the Board of Bauing Group said that “Myanmar is one the most important cooperation countries under the “One Belt and One Road” initiative proposed by China, and the leaders of two countries have conducted several communications. I sincerely hope to strengthen cooperation with Myanmar under “One Belt and One Road” initiative, and achieve mutual development, so as to bring tangible benefits to the two countries and their people. I believe that under the leadership of the new government, Myanmar will achieve rapid development through the reform and opening-up policy. Bauing group has started its investment in Myanmar, and we will work closely with Myanmar enterprises on infrastructure, real estate, power grids, building decoration, design and construction in the future to realize interconnection and interworking, complement each other’s advantages, and achieve mutual benefits and cooperation.

After the meeting, Gu Shaoming, Chairman of the Board of Bauing Group, and Gu Pu, Vice Present of Bauing Group presented Wang Yueqing’s calligraphy work “The Highest Good is Like Water” to Myint Swe, Vice President of Myanmar, hoping the relationship between China and Myanmar will be good and mutual.
