On the morning of Nov.4 th , upon the invitation of Guangdong University of Foreign Studies, Gu Shaoming the Chairman of the Board of Directors visited the University and discussed about University-Enterprise cooperation matters. 

Sui Guangjun the Secretary of the Party Committee, He Chuantian the Vice President of Guangdong University of Foreign Studies cordially welcomed Gu Shaoming and his group, and had a meeting with Gu in the meeting office of Administration Office Building .

In the meeting, Gu said, under the national strategy of “ One Road and One Belt”, Bauing Group boldly went out and expanded its business abroad. In the last year, Bauing consecutively acquired South Decoration which owned rich overseas construction experience, and established PT Bauing Construction Indonesia along the new maritime Silk Road . After one-year practice, the overseas strategy of Bauing Group has been in further maturation. He also added: currently, Bauing was participating in infrastructure, smart city, smart transportation and e-commerce platform and many other fields, to make contributions to the modernization of Indonesian society. On Oct. 28 th , the fist delivery environmental-protection and energy-saving houses constructed by PT Bauing has been done and the quality and practicality was highly recognized by Khador the Commander-in-Chief. On the same day, Shenzhen “Going Out” Enterprises Projects Cooperation Conference was held in Djakarta, which marked that more and more enterprises from Shenzhen would enter Indonesia and also enhanced the confidence of Bauing. At the same time, the maturation of Bauing’s overseas strategies badly required talents for foreign languages and foreign trade. Bauing has had much discussion with Guangdong University of Foreign Studies many times before, and it was hoped that the University-Enterprise cooperation can be put into practice as soon as possible on the anniversary of the founding of Guangdong University of Foreign Studies.

Gui Guangjun the Secretary of the Party Committee quite agreed with the bold attempts of Bauing to go out and cooperate with countries along the Maritime Silk Road upon the national strategy of One Belt and One Road . In Apr. last year, he made investigations in Indonesia with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and after investigation the Group though Indonesia was a key point and hub among the countries along the Maritime Silk Road. Indonesia had large population and thousands of islands. If interconnection is really wanted in ASEAN Integration, there still exist many weaknesses and also much development room in infrastructure, energy and internet. As the national strategy of “ One Belt and One Road ” is gradually put into practice, Chinese enterprises are shouldering important missions, on this occasion where Gu pioneered in Indonesia with sharp insight and got remarkable achievements. 

Guangdong University of Foreign Studies is a key university of cultivating international talents, studying foreign languages and culture, foreign economic trade and international strategies in South China . Under the call of national strategy of “ One Belt and One Road ”, it is willing to be the pioneer. This year, it cooperated with many famous universities in Guangdong Province and established the Collaborative Innovation Center of the 21 st Century Maritime Silk Road , to contribute wisdom to national and Guangdong development. What’s more, since the establishment, it has been rooted in Guangdong , serving the whole society. With strengthening competitiveness in scientific researches, it made remarkable achievements in innovative drive of Guangdong , researches of South Pacific and of maritime Silk Road . On this occasion, it is the mutual needs of Bauing and the University to reach University-Enterprise cooperation agreement and make common efforts to cultivate talents for foreign languages and foreign trade, combine scientific researches and practices and cultivate overseas youth leaders. Guangdong University of Foreign Studies is looking forward to reaching the framework agreement of University-Enterprise cooperation with Bauing Group as soon as possible.

In the meeting, both sides reached a consensus to sign strategic cooperation framework agreement before the ceremony for the 50 th anniversary of Guangdong University of Foreign Studies. They agreed that upon the signing of cooperation framework agreement, they would cooperate closely to development talent resources, create new mode of joint talent cultivation, create more innovative and composite talents suitable to social development needs, jointly promote social, economic development and serve the national strategy of “ One Belt and One Road ”. At the same time, they will work together on pushing forward deep cultural communication with countries along the new Maritime Silk Road .
