The Opening Ceremony of PT Bauing Chinese Calligraphy Invitation Exhibition 

From the evening of Nov. 16 th to 18 th , the PT Bauing Chinese Calligraphy Exhibition sponsored by the Collaborative Innovation Center of the 21 st Century Maritime Silk Road, Guangzhou Artist Association and Indonesian Ministry of Education and Culture, organized by Bauing Group and Indonesian International Daily, co-organized by Indonesian Ministry of Tourism was grandly held in Balai Kartinim Djakarta, Indonesia. 

At 19 o’clock on Nov. 16 th (local time hereinafter), PT Bauing Chinese Calligraphy Exhibition was held. About 600 people including officials from Indonesian Ministry of Education and Culture, Ministry of Tourism, ambassadors from 25 countries in Indonesia, representatives from industry and commerce field in Indonesia, representatives from the Collaborative Innovation Center of the 21 st Century Maritime Silk Road, representatives from Bauing Group and representatives from Indonesian International Daily witnessed the opening ceremony.

Representative from the organizer---Gu Shaoming the Chairman of the Board of Directors of Bauing Group made an address. He said: currently, Indonesian and Chinese government, social organizations and civil organization were pushing forward the friendship between Indonesian and Chinese people and making great efforts to bridge communication between two sides. Culture contained the deepest emotional and spiritual pursuit of a country and also was the bridge for soul and emotional communication between different countries and nations. As the saying goes, if soul to soul, any gaps can be filled. Owning to the friendship between China and Indonesia as well as the superior business environment created by Indonesian government, Bauing Group felt it honored to have its double identities: we were not only pioneer for trade, but transmitter for cultural communication!

IGEDEPITANA the Vice Minister of Indonesian Ministry of Tourism said in the opening ceremony, Indonesia and China are inseparable friends, and the trade between the two countries reached its height when Zheng He made his voyage to Indonesia , which also promoted cultural communication between the two countries, and thus Indonesian culture was always influenced by Chinese culture. Especially in the aspect of tourism recently, the number of Chinese tourists to Indonesia in 2014 increased by 20% than before, and it was planned that the number will go over one million, which will certainly promote cultural communication and cooperation.

Yu Shigan the former Ministry of State-Owned Enterprises of Indonesia made a passionate speech in fluent Chinese. He said, the relationship maintenance between the two countries not only requires communication between the government and the senior, but pays attention to cultural communication and non-government contact. The exhibition held by Bauing Group was of great significance to the cultural communication between the two countries and also favorable to the future development of Bauing in Indonesia .

At the opening ceremony, Xie Feng the Chinese Ambassador in Indonesia made a speech upon invitation. He said, this year was the 65 th year of the establishment of the diplomatic relations between China and Indonesia and the relation is coming to its best period upon mutual efforts. In May this year, Liu Yandong the Vice Prime Minister and Buan the Minister jointly started the vice-prime-minister-level cultural communication mechanism, which was the first senior cultural communication mechanism between China and developing countries and surrounding countries. 

Xie added, art was the bridge to link the world and people’s heart. As batik and woodcarving were the art treasures that Indonesian people were proud of, brush painting and calligraphy carried five thousands of years of Chinese civilization and represented the essence of Chinese art. Although in flat color, it had profound artistic perception and integrated Chinese wisdom, character and emotion. It was hoped that this exhibition could open a window for Indonesian people to feel Chinese culture and enhance the communication and friendship between the two countries.

After addresses, the host welcomed all guests and representatives to get on the stage and sound the gong for opening.

Painting and Calligraphy Auction Ceremony 

After the opening ceremony, the Painting and Calligraphy Auction for Charity was held. The calligraphy and painting works Spring Forever by Zhou Guocheng the Chairman of Guangzhou Artist Association was presented on the stage, and all the proceeds from the auction of Zhou’s works will be donated by PT Bauing Construction Indonesia to Indonesian Red Cross, for supporting the development of Indonesian healthcare. 

▲ Li Daxi the Chairman of American CASB successfully auctioned Spring Forever the calligraphy work by Zhou Guocheng with 950 million Indonesian rupiah (447,000 yuan). 

▲ Yu Yuling the famous leader of overseas Chinese and Chairman of Indonesian Fujian Community Association successfully auctioned Spring Forever the painting by Zhou Guocheng with 1 billion Indonesian rupiah (470,000 yuan).
