On the afternoon of Oct. 24 th , Zhong Weihe the President, He Chuantian the Vice President of Guangdong University of Foreign Studies visited Bauing Group for further discussion about university-enterprise cooperation. Before that, the University has reached a consensus with Bauing Group: to reach cooperation on cultivation of backup talents (foreign languages and foreign trade) of Bauing Group, training of the management, theoretical and practical researches of Collaborative Innovation Center of the 21 st Century Maritime Silk Road . 

Site of University-Enterprise Cooperation 

Gu Shaoming the Chairman of the Board of Directors of Bauing Group made a welcome speech in the meeting. Gu said: Guangdong University of Foreign Studies is a key university in China , and has the most foreign language majors in South China . As a famous university of foreign studies in China , it has cultivated large groups of professional talents for foreign languages and foreign trades. Professor Zhong Weihe the President of Guangdong University of Foreign Studies is the first simultaneous interpreter in China, and cultivated “Zhong Team” composed of “ interpretation in nine paragraphs”, the team of which made great contributions to filling the gap of China’s interpretation. Under the national strategy of One Road and One Belt and the pattern of expanding overseas market, Bauing felt it honored to cooperate with Guangdong University of Foreign Studies, which would be bound to be a great help to its overseas expansion. Bauing Group is looking forward to the cooperation with Guangdong University of Foreign Studies.

Zhong Weihe the President of Guangdong University of Foreign Studies also expressed his expectation to reach cooperation as soon as possible. He first introduced the development history of the University, the origin of the establishment of Collaborative Innovation Center of the 21 st Century Maritime Silk Road , its academic achievements and development prospect. Zhong said, under the national strategy of One Road and One Belt, language played an important role in foreign trade. Since the establishment, Guangdong University of Foreign Studies has cultivated large groups of talents for foreign languages and it is also the responsibility to make contributions to local and national economic and social development. Bauing Group established Bauing PT Construction Indonesia in Djakarta , Indonesia in 2014 and consecutively expanded much business. At the same time, it also expanded markets in Southeast Asia, Central Asia and Middle East , with remarkable results. Guangdong University of Foreign Studies is looking forward to the cooperation with Bauing Group on the 50 th anniversary of establishment, to realize win-win cooperation.

Gu Shaobo the President of Bauing Group highly recognized the cultivation quality of Guangdong University of Foreign Studies. Gu said, currently Bauing was expanding its overseas business and badly demanding talents for minority languages. The talents cultivated by Guangdong University of Foreign Studies are widely recognized and welcomed by enterprises. Therefore, putting the University-Enterprise cooperation on agenda is of great significance to the overseas strategies of Bauing.

While discussing about relevant cooperation matters, He Chuantian the Vice President of Guangdong University of Foreign Studies expressed his wish to cooperation with Bauing Group, to realize seamless cooperation in such aspects as talent cultivation and international forums organization, create a new pattern of joint talent cultivation and brand activities organizing. Gu Pu the Vice President of Bauing Group quite agreed with President He. He thought, professional talent cultivation is not only the responsibility of university but also of enterprises. At the same time, creating brand activities, jointly organizing “Bauing Culture Lecture”, “Indonesia Bauing Chinese Calligraphy Exhibition” also comply with the concept of cultural transmission of Maritime Silk Road. The both sides shall work together on creating University-Enterprise cooperation mode and overseas transmission of Chinese culture.

The both sides further discussed about the cooperation and decided to jointly organize “Bauing Culture Lecture” from Nov. 3 rd to 4 th , in which Professor Ron Anderson the Dean of Finance Department of London School of Economics, Doc. Li Daxi the Chairman of American CASB and President of Columbia International University, Doc. Deng Wenzhong the famous international bridge master, member of the US National Academy of Sciences and foreign associate of Chinese Academy of Engineering would be invited to make topic speech.
