Series of award activities about greeting the New Year and promoting cooperation between China and ASEAN sponsored by China-ASEAN Business Council and ASEAN Beijing Council were carried out in Beijing on January 19. “Top 10 Successful Chinese Enterprises Entering ASEAN” and “Top 10 ASEAN Enterprises Entering China” in 2015 were published at the ceremony. Bauing Group (Stock code: 002047) was rated as “Top 10 Successful Chinese Enterprises Entering ASEAN” with its outstanding performance in countries along “One Belt and One Road” and especially ASEAN countries. 

Korn Dabbaransi, former vice premier of Thailand and chairman of Thai-Chinese Association, Liu Guchang, former vice minister of Ministry of Foreign Affairs of China, and chairman of CFIS, Ge Zhirong, counselor of Counselor Office of the State Council, and chairman of China Entry-Exit Inspection and Quarantine Association, Xu Ningning, executive director of China-ASEAN Business Council, ambassadors of ten ASEAN members to China, and entrepreneurs from ASEAN countries attended the award ceremony. 

Korn Dabbaransi, former vice premier of Thailand and chairman of Thai-Chinese Association, noted in his speech that ASEAN is China ’ s most important economic and trade partner, and one of the main destinations of China ’ s “ One Belt and One Road ” strategy. China-ASEAN economic and trade exchange has obtained great achievements in 2015, and has become a power engineer that drives the economy of Asia and the world. In addition, the establishment of Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank (AIIB) played an important role in promoting China-ASEAN cooperation. In 2016, a year full of opportunities, China-ASEAN economic and trade cooperation will be more brilliant and vibrant.

At the award ceremony, Thit Linn Ohn, Burmese ambassador to China published the list of “Top 10 Successful Chinese Enterprises Entering ASEAN”. Enterprises in the list are Chinese-funded Vietnam Photovoltaic Technology Co., Ltd., Shenzhen Bauing Construction Group Co., Ltd., Jiangsu Deeno Group Co., Ltd., MCC Real Estate (Singapore) Co., Ltd., China International Water & Electronic Corp., China Road and Bridge Corporation, Power China Resources LTD., Shandong Linglong Tire Co., Ltd., China Harbour Engineering Company Ltd., and Glodon Software Company Limited. Among these companies, there are 6 enterprises whose fist word in the company name is China (Chinese).

Thit Linn Ohn said in his presentation of awards that Chinese enterprises has entered ASEAN, and taken active involvement in China-ASEAN cooperation. The investment involves engineering contracting, infrastructure construction, energy saving and environmental protection, industrial manufacturing and other fields. Those Chinese enterprise I just mentioned won recognition in the cooperation with ASEAN partners, brought benefits to partners and achieved win-win goal. In the process of entering ASEAN and participating in ASEAN construction, Chinese enterprises not only promote economic development, but also pay attention to the development of environmental protection, education and other public undertakings. They shoulder social responsibilities and set up good enterprise images in ASEAN. China-ASEAN Business Council is made up of business leaders, famous entrepreneurs and experts from CCPIT, ASEAN Chamber of Commerce and Industry, and ASEAN countries. It is one of the platforms for exchange and cooperation between China and ASEAN. Each year it will appraise and select top 10 successful Chinese enterprises entering ASEAN among numerous candidate enterprises on the principle of fairness, impartiality and openness. Its judges are from China-ASEAN Business Council, relevant Chinese governments, the Commercial Section of ASEAN Embassy in China, and representatives from relevant ASEAN and Chinese chambers of commerce. The appraisal and selection of top 10 successful Chinese enterprises entering ASEAN are based on enterprises’ investment scale, development achievements, and contributions to local economy and society.

Bauing Group, as a Chinese building decoration enterprise that vigorously implements the national “ One Belt and One Road ” strategy, has reached out to the world and set foot in Indonesia since 2014. It founded PT Bauing Construction Indonesia and entered Indonesia’s broad building decoration market. Soon after the foundation of PT Bauing Construction Indonesia, Bauing successfully signed a project valued at 1 billion in Indonesia. Meanwhile, through deep cooperation with Sioeng Group, Pulauintan Group, Mayapada Group, Tzu Chi Hospital Indonesia, and other Indonesian enterprises and public institutions, Bauing Group carried out large quantities of building decoration business, and expanded its business to fields such as infrastructure construction. With its subsidiary PT Bauing Construction Indonesia and holding subsidiaries South Decoration and Kenneth Ko Design as the core force, Bauing successively explored building decoration and design markets and signed several major projects in Southeast Asia, Central Asia, Africa and other countries, especially in ASEAN countries such as Indonesia, Vietnam, Singapore and Malaysia. Bauing was also deeply involved in ASEAN ’ s infrastructure construction, smart city construction, cultural exchange and other domains. Bauing ’ s overseas strategy has achieved initial success. The Bauing series activities include the dialogue on new business opportunities for the construction of Three Gorges and Silk Road, the dialogue on new business opportunities for the construction of Jiangsu Nantong and Silk Road, and “ Made in Jinan ” ASEAN Promotion Conference. During the activities, China Three Gorges Corporation, Nantong-Jianghai Linkage Demonstration Area, Jinan Municipal Government, and ASEAN representatives talked about the prospect for cooperation in 2016. After the award ceremony, representatives of Chinese and ASEAN enterprises read out the China-ASEAN Enterprise Friendly Cooperation Initiative 2 016.
